Creating and presenting wireframes, mock-ups, information architecture, site maps and prototypes for company’s web applications
Documenting high-level annotations and functional and design specifications to define the new functionalities for the application, based on user and/or team members requirements analyses
Working collaboratively with members of the UX/Product/ Engineering and Quality Engineering team to conceptualize, design and prototype ideas across multiple engagements
Plan, conduct and document on-site customer studies, remote usability studies, and other research efforts
Gather user requirements, produce UX specifications, wire-frames, scenarios and task flows for new features and functions; develop conceptual models, design screen layouts; run internal or external usability testing as needed to validate designs.
Previous experience:
Strong background in and understanding of the following: user research, information architecture, information design, interaction design, and user interface design
Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, designing user interfaces and defining information architecture and navigation
Proven experience with rapid, iterative design and development processes, including significant prototyping experience.
1-2 years experience with e-commerce and or web applications/software a plus
1-2 years experience in user interface design a plus
Technical skills:
Impeccable usability skills and attention to detail, knowledge of user-centered design techniques
Experienced in various types of work from information architecture to developing conceptual models, flowcharts, prototypes, detailed user interface requirements for the development of web applications.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand, design and communicate a cohesive and consistent end-to-end user experience, beyond just the creation of wireframes
Experience creating interactive prototypes and/or mockups (using Axure, iRise, Balsamiq or similar software) that are suitable for demos, usability testing or adaptation by software engineers
Proficiency in creating use cases and process flow diagrams a plus.
Proficiency in usability testing and user modeling a plus.
