•Installs, configures, maintains and monitors the equipment inside Nobel voice network;
•Solving equipment installation and configuration related issues;
•Works on interconnecting other carriers to Nobel's network (technical setup, test calls, CDRs comparison);
•SMS platform administration;
•Identifies and resolves problems and restores services to the user in a timely and efficient manner with minimum disruption to the user;
•Creates technical specs and technical support diagrams;
•Keeps track and documents his/her actions through the internal management tools;
•Collaborates with Business Development team members for continuous improvement;
•Assumes ownership, has willingness to take on responsibility and manages projects to completion;
•Fluency in English;
•Is available to work on shifts.
•Advanced understanding of SIP and H.323 protocols;
•Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting SS7 and ISDN trunk groups;
•SMS wholesale interconnections via SMPP, HTTP or SS7;
•Database administration experience: MSSQL or MySQL or PostgreSQL;
•Networking: routing and switching, experience with Cisco Catalyst switches. VPN and Firewalls
•Monitoring tools knowledge: Cacti, Nagios, Rancid, etc;
•Ability to work under pressure, to respect dead-lines and to fulfill correctly the work duties.
