The VoIP Engineer is responsible with the implementation and execution of the software quality assurance and research and development procedures. At Rack-Soft the software quality is our primary concern, therefore you are required to both follow procedures and be creative. On this job, you will have to:
- Research on functionality and usability
- Write the software testing documentation following the development requirements
- Write testing automation tools (components for existing frameworks or new ones)
- Perform VoIP and Unified Communications software testing on multiple platforms
- Report bugs in a meaningful form
- Suggest improvements based on comparative studies
- Suggest documentation goals
- Apply documented break-in strategies on known code
- Comply with the company continuous improvement processes
- Provide feedback and reporting to management regarding documentation and overall software quality
Our candidate should have a B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering and a relevant (2+ years) experience as software Quality Assurance Engineer. Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, SIP protocol, and web technologies is required.
The VoIP Engineer must also be very organized and he should be able to spot what is less than obvious. Intermediate knowledge of programming languages is a big plus. Previous work experience with Open Source VoIP software like Asterisk and/or OpenSER is recommended.
