This position will be responsible for supervising the VoIP Engineering team and handling the day-to-day performance and long-range planning & engineering activities associated with NobelVoice over IP Network.
Supervision of a team of Voice/VoIP Engineers. Supervision includes staff scheduling, work assignments and task management.
Performs performance management duties (reviews) for team members.
Develops department forecast for growth and scale for the Voice Network. Responsible for audit and approval of project authorizations.
Works in association with other departments (NOC, Operations, Common Systems, IP/Data) to complete projects.
Must be able to create upgrade plans and justification packages on all network, cost, and process enhancements.
Creates weekly and monthly reports on team work activities and accomplishments.
At least 5 years working experience in telecom;
At least 2 years experience in developing and leading a team of talented individuals (a minimum number of 5 team members). Expertise with change management procedures is beneficial.
Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; and must be able to work well and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Prior experience with performance management and people development is required.
The candidate will be leading a technically savvy team and will be expected to have direct experience and knowledge of the following areas:
Proficiency in working with SIP and H.323 protocols;
Advanced knowledge of ISDN configuration and troubleshooting;
Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting SS7 networks;
Related Cisco equipment knowledge ;
Linux servers administration knowledge;
Experience in working with MSSQL or MySQL;
Strong personality with excellent communication skills;
Fluency in English;
Is available to work on shifts (including night shifts).
