• Incident analysis and scoping;
• Incident solving – having constant focus on minimizing the business impact caused by incidents;
• Environment monitoring - Monitoring key indicators for the BPM applications, data-base servers and processes, application servers such as CPU loads, I/O response times, storage and memory consumption;
• Initiating necessary measures to overcome or prevent potential issues;
• Create and update the knowledge base - Update training, user guides, FAQs and procedures on an on-going basis to ensure all the recurrent procedures are thoroughly documented;
• Tracking escalation to other support teams.
Mandatory knowledge and experience with at least 2 middleware products from the list below:
• WebSphere Application Server;
• WebSphere Process Server (preferably but not mandatory BPM);
• WebSphere Registry and Repository;
• WebSphere iLog (preferably but not mandatory ODM);
• WebSphere Message Broker;
• WebSphere MQ;
• WebSphere MQ for File Transfer Service.
Soft skills:
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Ability to achieve agreed deliverable, monitor and report progress;
• Ability to work independently.
Nice to have:
• Hands-on experience in large UNIX/Linux/Windows environments;
• DB2 and/or Oracle - conceptual knowledge and experience with at least the connection setup between the middleware products outlined above and the databases listed.
