We are currently searching for API engineers to join our team. The team will interact with product owners and leads on the client side.
What will your responsibilities look like?
API gateway optimization for scalability and cost
Maintain, support and enhance the API gateway
Ensure service level agreements are met
Expose quickly new APIs to customers
Provide a single place of knowledge for onboarding API consumers
What abilities will you need?
Good knowledge of APIs
Very good knowledge of Internet protocols and services
Very good knowledge of RESTful services
Solid and broad coding skills in Java and Python, but open to working with other languages as well (broad rather than deep, Integration Engineer)
Solid Linux Admin and Configuration skills
Solid networking knowledge
Solid Configuration Management skills
Solid skills in writing guides and processes
Technical and business knowledge of API platforms
Good knowledge in monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Splunk)
Do you also have these qualities?
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and in presentations)
Up to date with the latest technology
Fast learner and adaptable
English proficiency
What experience do you need?
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with at least one API Gateway (e.g. Mashery, Apigee) is a big plus
