As a Big Data Developer your role is to ensure the development, maintenance and support of projects using Big Data technologies (specifically Hadoop distributions).
What will your responsibilities look like?
Analyze/develop/test of end-to-end applications based on Big Data technologies.
What abilities will you need?
Experience (design, development, tuning, debugging) with complex, distributed enterprise-scale systems
Hadoop Experience including MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, Pig on a major distribution such as Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, Pivotal HD or Amazon MapReduce
Understanding of distributed systems, networking, RDBMS, and NoSQL technologies
Hands-on experience managing multi-terabyte datasets is required
Experience working in a Linux environment
Proficiency with at least one of the following: Bash, Python, Perl
Experience with Amazon Elastic MapReduce is a plus
