• Analysis of all hardware requirements (I/O, environmental conditions, manufacturing, life-time) for an electronic control unit used in automotive and non-automotive applications.
• Preparation of the design proposals and calculation of the product cost.
• Design of new electronic circuits/sub-circuits as well as modification of existing circuits according to the customer specification by taking into consideration the cost aspects.
• Integration of all components/sub-circuits/circuits into a functional hardware definition.
• Creation of the electrical schematics.
• Support for the PCB layout design.
• Take into operation and verification of new prototypes. Definition of the test specification.
• Support of the product validation.
• Launch of the product in series production. 2nd/3rd level support for warranty claims after start of production.
• Preparation of all documentation related to the hardware design as required by the engineering process.
• Participation in customer meetings and training sessions inbound and outbound.
• Junior: 0-5 Years, Senior: >5years in hardware design.
• University degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or comparable.
• Excellent understanding of analog and digital circuits. Experience with hardware simulation and design tools.
• Willing to learn new things and understand complex cause-effect relationships.
• Structured and analytic way of working. Familiar with existing design methods like FMEA, DFMA, V-Model.
• Able to communicate and synthetize.
• Open and cooperative personality enjoying the work in international teams.
• Willingness to travel abroad.
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
