The management of IT infrastructure projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of server and network systems to meet identified business needs. Acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
- Previous experience of project coordination for IT infrastructure technologies (server or network)
- Technical experience is not required but the candidate must be able to demonstrate logical thinking and a detail-aware approach
- Excellent project management, strategic thinking, problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly and communicate them plainly and directly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to demonstrate prior experience of coordinating or managing complex infrastructure deployment projects.
- Managing documents and safely execute small and large scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project process and life-cycle.
- Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.
- Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet projects requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability and/or longer life.
- Establish good business relations and facilitate communication between all parties involved in an implementation to ensure all clients and vendors are effectively working together.
