Endava’s Digital Media division is responsible for providing market-leading digital platforms for its globally recognized clients in the Sports, Media & Entertainment and Financial industries. Endava is not a mass-market supplier. We know that ‘one size fits all’ doesn’t suit everyone which is why we only provide bespoke solutions.
Provide support and maintain a number DM sites, provide out of hours support on a rote basis.
In this role, you will develop and support our existing suite of web applications, deploying changes to all environments from development to live servers and solving technical challenges. You’ll be passionate about coding to the very highest professional standard and have an interest in the internet that borders on the obsessive.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure day to day smooth running of allocated projects
• Fix problems within defined satisfactory timescales
• Proactively optimize and enable smooth running of all systems used by the projects such as web servers and database servers
• Provide second level application/service support during office hours & on call overnight including diagnostics, solution provision and issue logging
• Implement and test new software initiatives as well as upgrade and maintain existing systems. This encompasses all levels of architecture from user interfaces to databases
• Ensure specifications and relevant documentation are created for each new project;
• Provide the client (and on occasion, the end user) technical, editorial and training support on all project components
• Identify and manage risk areas of a project via effective escalation and resolution as early as possible
• Coordinate and work with 3rd party applications and specifications
• Work with other team members in order to review schematic designs and provide time estimates for development & testing
• Advanced knowledge of ASP.Net and C#, HTML, DHTML & JavaScript, JQuery, XML, XSLT, IIS, relational databases and web design
• Knowledge of hosting platforms including web farms and network operations
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience with advanced database development – stored procedures, query optimization, indexing techniques
• Good problem solving ability
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable:
• Experience with data feeds;
• Knowledge of software design and development methodologies, e.g., Agile, OOD, UML;
• Commercial experience of the full software lifecycle;
• Architecting and delivering high profile Internet applications;
• Experience of Site core CMS;
• Experience of Content Delivery networks;
• MVC
