As an infrastructure managed services provider, Endava requires infrastructure project managers, to coordinate and manage IT deployment projects for our Managed Service customers. This involves tracking actions, staff time, tasks and risks, liaison with change control (projects are often deployed onto live infrastructures under SLA) and status and escalations.
Typically (but not exclusively) this involves the development and implementation of hosted server, network, storage, virtualisation and local/global network systems, to very specific business requirements, typically pre-defined in proposal form, by our solutions architect teams.
Make Your Next Step
The PM’s role is to build a good practical understanding of what is required to deliver projects to a fixed-price and specific project brief, whilst effectively maintaining activity progress rates with both staff and technology problems, escalating early if required.
While the role is not technical, it requires a detail-minded person, with good experience of production IT infrastructure and its sensitivities, to liase and arbitrate between highly technical customers and project staff, managing expectations on all sides, with appropriate communications and progress reports.
• Manage client and client-facing documentation, and updates, and safely maintain progress within small and large scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project process and life-cycle.
• Identify, understand, assess and manage risks to the success of each project as defined in the original project proposal
• Engage with Endava’s technical project deployment consultants and ensure activities are planned and executed in a way which aligns with the allotted project windows and fixed-price proposals.
• Bring a level of business-focussed pragmatism to technical problems, suggesting alternatives in order that projects hit or exceed their original planned target requirements.
• Promote good business relations and communication between all parties involved in an implementation, to ensure all clients, client facing staff, vendors are effectively working together to ensure success within the allotted project resource windows.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (Romanian and English), including the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly and communicate them plainly and directly with stakeholders at all levels.
• Previous experience of project coordination for IT infrastructure technologies (server or network)
• Excellent project management, strategic thinking, problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Ability to demonstrate a track record of bringing real focus to activities involving highly-technical people with technical priorities, and motivating teams to hit fixed-price commercial targets and business priorities.
• Technical experience is not required but the candidate must be able to demonstrate logical thinking and a detail-aware approach.
