2nd line support – Remotely investigating and fixing problems escalated from 1st line support
Deliver end-user, operating system and desktop application support
Collaborate with remote teams and customer technical staff to resolve incidents
Assess, troubleshoot and escalate user problems to specialized teams when necessary
Involved in identifying recurring issues and providing training to the 1st line support analysts
Involved in drafting knowledge articles and improving the existing knowledge base
March Your Skills
We are looking for people with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role though are willing to make exceptions for exceptionally technical people. The successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken English skills and will be able to address as many of the following:
Microsoft Active directory issues and requests
Complex operating system issues both on MS Windows and Mac OS
Troubleshooting Microsoft desktop applications
Troubleshooting access to bespoke, web-based applications
Moderate difficulty incidents related to client networking, client-server and hosted web-based bespoke applications
Advanced network connection diagnostics and troubleshooting
Diagnostics using remote control of user desktops
Trouble-ticketing and helpdesk system operations
ITIL – a reasonable understanding of ITIL processes
Technical Certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, etc) are a plus
