Position Purpose:
We are looking for a candidate to join our team as middle-level Software Tester. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills and posses a real passion towards delivering good quality products.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
•Understand the functionality of an application and business logic behind it
•Development of the Test Strategy, based on the nature of the projects
•Functional and Non-Functional testing, Regression, Sanity checks
•Work independently to:
◦Analyze requirements and specifications documentation;
◦Design test cases;
◦Execute test plans;
◦Prepare testing reports;
•Track bugs according to incident management process.
•Provide feedback to software development team on defects
Experience & Qualifications
•Computer Science Degree or related field preferred
•At least 2-3 years commercial experience in software testing
•Very good understanding of the overall software delivery process and lifecycle
•Good knowledge of testing process
•Experience in all phases of the testing cycle (e.g. requirements analysis, test case identification, test case design and execution, defect tracking, reporting of results)
•Ability to submit detailed bug reports, and verify bug fixes
•General programming knowledge
•Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Perl etc)
•Basic database knowledge
•Excellent English language skills, written and spoken.
Optional:
•Experience in test automation is a plus
•Knowledge of automation tools (eg: Selenium)
•Previous experience with Load, Stress and Performance testing and tools (eg: JMeter)
•Knowledge of the Agile SCRUM methodology
•ISTQB Foundation Level certificate
•Knowledge of Microsoft testing tools (Test Manager, Coded UI tests with VS)
