- You are responsible for the full product category management of our products. Your responsibilities also include master data management, pricing, recipes, a full maintenance of the portfolio (optimizations), forecasts. To this end, you will also manage the paper and website product catalogue (including brand communication guidelines) and commercial product leaflets for each of the products.
‐ You can translate your acquired market and product knowledge of our products category into clear briefings for the NPD & Technology teams to support them in the development of new and original top quality products.
‐ You stay on top of and remain informed of new market developments, competition and trends. You are able to analyze market data and share your product category and market knowledge with your colleagues: you inspire and involve them in the marketing & NPD processes.
- You prepare & coordinate product presentations for sales department and for key customers who visit our production facilities.
‐ You are the driver and coordinator of the New Product Development processes & procedures (such as briefings, testing, product tasting sessions, packaging, etc) and this in accordance with the requests & expectations of the sales department.
‐ You set the priorities in order to focus on the most promising NPD projects, in line with our ‘go to market’ strategy. You monitor and report on the progress of the various NPD projects; you adjust and intervene where required to stay on track. You follow-up on launched products and their product sales performance in good communication with the sales department.
‐ You have the required project management skills as well as the required professional relationships to motivate colleagues from other departments to get involved into the NPD projects, to follow the required NPD procedures and to respect the agreed deadlines.
‐ Your job objectives will be: sales, sales of new products (common objective with sales department) and service level.
‐ You have at least 3-5 years’ experience in product management and new product development coordination in the FMCG sector, preferably in the food industry
‐ You are passionate about food, with a strong interest in launch new products, and you are innovative and entrepreneurial
‐ You have the personality, maturity and authority to build bridges between departments
‐ You have a strong sense of ownership, you are stress resistant and you are an effective decision maker who stands by the decisions made
‐ You are an excellent communicator and listener and you are not afraid to speak up. With your arguments, you can also persuade and influence others
‐ You enjoy working in a structured way while being pragmatic and systematic in your approach; you can be flexible when required
‐ You are well organized and good in administration
‐ You are strong in project management: gathering the right briefing, setting up the time schedules with appropriate milestones, actively following these schedules and measuring the effectiveness by elaborating the KPI’s of the NPD projects
‐ You combine conceptual thinking with a sense for analysis and synthesis; you are process and project driven.
‐ You are fluent in English language, both spoken and written.
