About the project:
You would be working with a team of 10 developers and 1 QA Specialist joining the US based teams. You will be using tools such as GIT, Confluence/ Greenhopper, JIRA, SCRUM C++LUA and contributing to all of these products: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134as well to the newest generation of products
Responsibilities:
*Design and develop functional automation testing scripts
*Work closely with software development to get unit tests extended, develop develop them effectively and implement scripts to validate correct operation of the software
*Conduct test automation code reviews and evangelize test automation best practices to the entire engineering organization
*Discuss requirements and participate in architecture/design reviews with an emphasis on test automation strategy and enforcement of excellent coding standards
We are looking for a person who is:
FLEXIBLE, DECENT, INTELLIGENT, WORKING PERSON WHO CAN FIND MOTIVATION IN WHAT HE/SHE DOES
*About 1 to 3 years of experience of enterprise level QA automation or Software Development
*Fairly good knowledge of automated testing tools, techniques and methodologies: LUA would be excellen (thttp://www.lua.org/docs.html), but also
*Experience in any of scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Windows and Unix shell scripting would be compensatory
*Experience in building test frameworks, developing scripting from test specifications and develop function libraries and product independent scripts
*Experience qualifying enterprise class hardware/software solutions, such as datacenter appliances
*Experience with servers, networking devices and/or storage devices
The ideal candidate will have an interest in improving software reliability and quality through automation and consistent automation processes
*Solid problem solving skills
*Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment
*Excellent writing and communication skills
*Excellent interpersonal skill set with a self-starting attitude, team-player, and flexibility. A fast learner (new system and test equipment applications) and high degree of creativity and initiative is expecte
*Deep understanding of software development processes
*Some structured programming knowledge in Java, C# or C++
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
