ELC Group Ltd is currently looking to hire a talented Senior Medical Writer. Working as part of a team, but with a considerable degree of personal responsibility, you will develop a wide variety of high-quality scientific documents, ranging from non clinical peer reviewed manuscripts to regulatory submissions and clinical documents.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Compilation of clinical documents in accordance with SOPs and GCP
• Aware of the stages of a project that may require medical writing, editing and proof-reading
• Perform literature reviews and searches to obtain background information for document creation.
• Ensure writing work is of high scientific and literary standards and meets objectives
• Consistently produce high quality work that is correctly formatted with few typographical or grammatical errors
• Provide sets of validated references as required
• Provide medical editing review of draft and final documents prepared by other writers before internal or external distribution. This includes both copyediting and content review.
• To provide support and guidance for other Medical writing staff.
• Ensure consistency within and between relevant documents
• Able to provide on-site writing/content support
• Degree educated within a biomedical or life sciences discipline.
• Previous medical writing experience - confident in the design, management and delivery of complex writing projects to clients in the pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, with understanding of code of practice guidelines for medical copy/copyright issues.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced, highly pressurised environment to tight deadlines, and prioritising multiple projects/tasks through to completion.
• First class oral and written communication skills and ability to influence others.
• Excellent attention to detail - both spelling/grammar and also content design and layout, style and accuracy, relevance to audience, etc.
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office package, internet and databases.
