Image Processing Working Student (f/m) Driver Assistance Systems

Your responsibilities:
-Work together with the R&D team from Cluj or Germany for developing video-based driver assistance systems (e.g. predictive emergency brake, adaptive cruise control, height and depth estimation using stereovision etc).
-Analyze research papers and reports supervised by the R&D team members in order to evaluate if they are suitable for real-time implementation in our system.
-Implement (C++, Matlab) mono and stereo vision algorithms using the latest image processing methods (3D stereo-based algorithms, classification, optical flow, object detection and tracking etc).
-Develop new variants of the existing algorithms, evaluate their performance, make comparative studies and report the results. -Implement different tools and 3D visualization (ex: OpenGL) components for the algorithms output
-Student student in computer science, electronics and telecommunications, informatics, mathematics or comparable. -Provable experience (ex: semester projects, labs, algorithms competitions etc) in one of the following: image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision, signal processing, control engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, numerical methods.
-Good knowledge of C/C++ or Matlab programming.
-Very good algorithms and data structures background.
-Experience with software design and UML is a plus.
-Willingness to learn and understand new cutting edges image processing methods and algorithms.
-Fluent in English; German language is a plus.
-Scientific research experience in image processing is a plus but not mandatory.
