The firm is looking for a Structural Engineer who actively participate in the design and engineering of curtain wall elements, steel structures, and any architectural features included in the project’s scope of works and ensure the company objectives and client satisfaction are met.
Role description
- To ensure value engineering is applied and sound engineering principles are adhered to.
- To carry out detailed structural analysis of curtain wall elements from concept to detailed design stage. Items to be verified include but not limited to frame elements (aluminum and steel profiles), glass, cladding, connections, bracketry.
- To prepare comprehensive and concise engineering reports that meet project specifications.
- To ensure calculation reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- To be able to obtain approval for all calculation submittals in line with the project program and within the specified budget.
- To prepare and regularly update calculation registry as necessary.
- To prepare tender calculations as required.
- To work in close coordination with the Design Manager assigned to the project/s to ensure all engineering work/analyses required are carried out. To ensure that recommendations are correctly reflected on the shop drawings.
- To work in close collaboration with the Design Manager/Design team to create engineering solutions when required.
- To work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and attend project meetings as may be deemed necessary for the progress of the project/s.
- To be able to manage time properly or flexible in order to attend to any other duties assigned by the Engineering Team Leader with approval of the Technical Manager.
- To attend to duties assigned by the Technical Manager.
- To allot time to study and research new materials, standards and engineering techniques or approaches that may be used for the advantage of the company.

- good amount of experience in Facade/curtain wall Industry (7-10 years)
