Co-responsible for providing professional service of food and/or beverages in a restaurant station or a part of the lounge, including duties such as:
Taking orders for food and drinks in the restaurant, bar or sundeck
Serving food and drinks in all departments on the ship (restaurant, bar, room service, sundeck) in a professional way
Knowledge of the menu and all drinks incl. wines
Active sale of drinks in the restaurant and bar, incl. the sundeck
Wine counseling
Friendly and competent guest service
Setup of tables according to company standards as well as polish cutlery and glasses
Cleaning parts of the restaurant, back offices, and work rooms as directed
Following Maître d’s directives regarding the mise-en-place in the restaurant
Achieving and maintaining company standards in the restaurant and bar department
Assisting with the loading of the ship’s supplies
Correctly handling all food stock, as well as all all equipment in the restaurant and bar department
Good organizational and communication skills
Guest focused, stress resistant, calm under pressure, team player and with positive appearance
Open minded and flexible with high social and inter-cultural competencies
Must work independently
English and/or German spoken
Completed training (school)
2 years of professional experience as a waiter/waitress

Training on board
Every 2-3 months on board / 2-3 weeks off
