Purpose of the job
To ensure all electricity and natural gas supply contracts are negotiated in accordance with the Customer Service Level Agreements of the clients and in line with the department’s Trading Policy.
To support the Relationship Managers to ensure that all electricity and natural gas supply contracts are delivered correctly according to the consultant proposal and the consultancy contract.
The role is based in Iasi.
Key responsibilities
To run the day-to-day procurement of electricity and natural gas supply contracts in accordance with the company’s Trading Policy and the underlying client SLA;
• Preparation of procurement and tender related documents (RFQs, tender reports, benchmarks);
• Capturing and updating of market prices;
• Preparing calculations related to energy supply contracts e.g. pricing models, index calculations, and transport calculations;
• Participation in client conference calls and presentation of tender results;
• Ad-hoc client queries (e.g. sold/closed sites);
• Conducting research into markets in which the company operates or intends to operate in the future e.g. Bulgaria, Croatia, etc.
• To assist with the development of new products/services and the enhancement of existing ones. This will be in close cooperation with the Sales and Relationship Management teams;
• To assist with the (further) development of the procurement systems and associated processes and services;
• Dealing with general correspondence and telephone calls received from customers and suppliers and following up of queries raised to make certain they are addressed appropriately within the allowed timescales;
• You have a responsibility to ensure customers do not serve termination or file any financial claims against the company as a result of poor operational performance;
• Maintenance of the supplier databases;
• Maintenance of the in-house databases and systems which are used to manage the clients’ portfolios;
• Maintain and enhance data quality within the in-house database & procurement systems;
• You will be expected to build excellent working relationships with all major electricity and natural gas suppliers;
• Provide intra and interdepartmental support and assistance to colleagues as and when required;
• To assist with the monitoring of the energy markets.
Person specification
• Fluency in French/Polish (written and spoken) and
• Fluency in English (written and spoken);
• An organised, detailed and methodical approach to task management;
• Preferably a previous exposure to contract management
• The ability to identify problems and resolve them swiftly;
• Good communication skills and full commitment to the role;
• Advanced knowledge of general software (typically, Microsoft Excel, Word and Access).
