Purpose:
The Automation Developer will provide technical automation programming support to develop automation routines and provide on-going maintenance for those routines. Process Automation is a key driver in delivering productivity and cost benefits to Xerox Europe and currently is a key programme sponsored by the Xerox Europe Senior Leadership Team.
This is a significant opportunity for the right candidate to get involved at the start of the Xerox automation journey to helps Xerox develop and grow this capability.
Scope:
The Automation Developer will work very closely with the Business owner to develop automation routines from pre-prepared process documentation (either through typed documents or screen recordings) and to translate the process documentation into working automation routines for the process owner. The Developer will also be working with process owners from areas across the Large Enterprise Organization across multiple countries.
Main Responsibilities:
1 Development of automation routines using 1-3 software package tools depending on process requirements
2 On-going maintenance of live and deployed automation routines
3 Liaising with process owners across Europe to support development, testing and deployment phases of projects
4 Close working partnership with LEO Business Transformation Manager, who will provide Developer with work priorities
5 Virtual attendance at weekly Automation progress call, reporting progress made on development projects
6 Sharing best practice with other Automation developers
Candidate Background: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Minimum Strong C# and .NET background and familiar with HTML, Microsoft Interop, Win32, web services, Java Script.
Minimum Excellent communication skills by email and phone
Strong relationship management and inter personal skills
Experience of managing virtual relationships – virtual collaboration
Minimum Ability to cope with changing priorities and moving between different projects in parallel
Minimum Continuous Service Improvement ethos
