Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• The Analyst is responsible for taking on analytical projects for our clients. The Analyst is required to be an experienced analyst who is self-motivated, pragmatic and thorough and shows an innovative approach to solving business problems through analytical techniques. They should understand the business landscape and the issues our clients wish to address.
• On a daily basis this position will involve in-depth analysis of customer and prospect databases using SAS and SQL. The results of their insight will be displayed in Excel reports and turned into PowerPoint presentations, and so they need to be fully conversant with these tools. Analytical techniques used commonly include customer profiling, data selections, extracts and suppressions, campaign response analysis and all others used for marketing analysis purposes. The analyst will be experienced in making code run efficiently on large datasets.
• The analyst should be experienced in working both within a team environment and in taking charge of their own projects and/or clients. They will be expected to be able to work with limited support, often under time constraints with changing requirements and priorities.
• The analyst will have daily contact with other teams, including client services and the data development and production teams, and will need to communicate fluently and effectively at all levels of the business. They must be prepared to deal directly with clients.
The workload includes developing and driving new analytics initiatives for our clients, as well as answering adhoc client queries and designing and executing custom analyses.
Required Experience, Skills and Education:
Practical achievement in the following skill areas:
• Application of statistical methods to maximize marketing effectiveness
• Analysis and segmentation of business data, customer profiling
• CRM and its practical application
• Interrogating marketing databases and providing business intelligence
• Base SAS (v9.4), SQL
• Excel (including pivot tables, VLookups, report creation), PowerPoint skills
• Client-facing skills (may have been gained with internal or external clients)
• Agency and/or in-house exposure
