Execute the shipment planning process at national level to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries at optimal cost for finished products, empties returns and other materials
• Contributes to the development and implementation of the company transportation strategy incorporating business directions, transport market realities and dynamics, delivering required service levels at optimal cost
• Perform the order allocation, shipment planning and shipment request processes to create a daily transportation plan within agreed cut-off time, which meets external and internal customer requirements at lowest cost.
• Monitors the execution of the daily transportation plan and adjust the shipment planning outcome according to operational constraints to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries at optimal cost
• Take decisions balancing speed with quality in delivering the transportation plan, prioritize shipments based on product and truck availability considering transportation cost, customer service team inputs and customer requirements
• Performs under a system crash and provides the transportation plan ensuring the on-time in-full execution of sales and returns orders
• Contributes to improvements in order allocation, shipment planning, shipment execution and transport cost calculation processes following business direction and market dynamics
• Drive improvements in service level provided to our customers and cost efficiency through design, development and adaptation of shipment planning processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Regulalry follow up the key performance indicators, assess opportunities and define and implement actions to improve shipment planning and execution
• Creates awarness among transport service providers regarding transportation capacity requirements by route type and equipment type using sales forecast and production plans
• Maximize the truck utilization on weight and volume by assessing the road category at lane level and selecting the right equipment type and by consolidating orders into multidrop shipments
• Combines lanes by selecting the proper time horizon for shipment planning runs in order to maximise the fleet usage and allocate trips to transport service providers according to contract specifications and internal procedures
• Contributes to the budget execution in line with levels agreed and periodically adjustments based on transportation drivers dynamics
• Reacts quickly to solve returnable packages availability issues
