We are currently looking for a JBoss System Administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of JBoss application servers. The successful candidate will be well experienced with JBoss, and have demonstrated experience in working on an Agile Scrum team.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience as a middleware administrator for JBoss 5 and Jboss 6
Experience installing and configuring JBoss
Experience integrating JBoss with web servers (apache) and databases (Oracle, MySQL) Experience installing and managing certificates on a JBoss server
Experience in Back-up/recovery methodology, clustering and high availability strategies Experience in identifying and troubleshooting system outages, installation issues, and application code running JBoss applications in a Linux or WindowsWould be an advantage Experience with Linux, and Linux administration
Experience with other web / app servers including WebLogic, Apache
Experience with databases including Oracle, MySQL
Knowledge of application monitoring and development tools such as Nagios
Education & Soft skills of the ideal candidates:
University degree in information technology or comparable education;
Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently;
Ability to understand and prioritize the needs of the customer;
High interest in continuous learning and development (new tools, technologies, methodologies);
Willingness to take over different roles in international and cross-functional teams;
Self-motivation to achieve consistently high quality results;
Ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo;
Openness to share knowledge and best practices with the team;
Ability to use simplicity in complex projects;
Good command of English, both spoken and written.
