Provide technical specifications and manage the budgeting of special geophysical projects. This includes active monitoring and management of special projects such that technical QA/QC, timing and budgetary requirements are satisfied. Ensure all projects are tendered and contracts awarded in accordance with company high-value and low- value sourcing procedures.
Function as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with third party contractors and partner companies on assigned projects. Communicate project status internally and to Partner companies.
Ensure all geophysical operations meet the safety standards required by the company.
Manage the approval process and communication with NPD and all other Norwegian authorities during geophysical operations in Norwegian waters including all marine 2D, 3D, 4C, Site Surveys, and VSP surveys.
Handle communication with the platform chiefs (OIM) regarding geophysical operations conducted in the vicinity of their responsible installations.
Provide technical QA/QC for all internal and externally sourced geophysical projects, (seismic processing and reprocessing, amplitude/AVO analysis, depth imaging, inversion).
Build and maintain velocity models to facilitate regional depth conversion efforts.
Perform post stack data enhancement processes to be able to extract additional information for prospect evaluation.
Perform forward modeling work in order to improve both processing and acquisition results.
Ensure the transfer of technical knowledge gained from geophysical projects within the company. Maintain knowledge of company proprietary geophysical capabilities within the Seismic Technology Group and use as appropriate.
Provide a strong link between the Pan North Sea Subsurface community and the geophysical specialists in the Subsurface Technology organization. Provide technical expertise and advice in the above areas on a consultancy basis to the Operating Units, Partner Ops teams and the Exploration New Ventures teams.
Responsible for mentoring younger professionals in seismic acquisition and processing.
B.S. with emphasis in Geophysics
· Ability to live and work in Norway.
· Specialist knowledge of seismic acquisition and processing
· Knowledge of depth imaging and seismic inversion and amplitude/AVO analysis techniques.
· Knowledge of relevant software, (eg. Landmark, GX II (raytracing), AVO, Strata, GeoDepth,, SeisSpace/ProMax, IPT, ABAVO, Converge etc).
· Good Project Management skills
· Strong customer focus
· Good communications skills and networking skills both internal and external to _______________
· Willingness to maintain core geophysical skills as well as developing new areas of expertise
Preferred Qualifications
· Masters or PhD in Geophysics

Working place: Stavanger
Agreement: Local, Norwegian agreement
Moving cost: We are covering the moving cost. The person that move to Stavanger will get housing support until 12 months (30% of basic salary)
Basic salary: NOK 800.000-1.000.000 (+ variable bonus 100.000 , car support / company car 100.000, shares plan = 50.000)
