Role:
The Chief Executive Officer will have seven primary mandates:
1. To lead the strategic and operational transformation of the company by implementing Lean Management principles
2. To allocate the company’s capital by identifying and implementing the new business opportunities that will ensure that the company will thrive in the years to come, to plan the new investment projects behind these opportunities, to organize the people around these projects, and to control their implementation
3. To develop a solid relationship with our current clients, to lead the pricing negotiations for motors currently homologated, and to develop new projects with them that enhance company’s business volumes and profitability
4. To define, communicate, and uphold company’s mission and vision, and to instill a culture of honesty, hard work, and constant improvement
5. To reassess company’s organizational structure and hire and fire staff as needed to consolidate the appropriate team for the strategic and operational transformation
6. To maintain close control over the company’s financial situation in close coordination with the Chief Financial Officer
7. To provide technical and financial advice to his/her direct reports.
The CEO will report to the Board of Directors.
In principle, the CEO will have five direct reports: the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Sales Officer, the Head of Enginering R&D and Quality, and the Chief Administrative Officer..
The role is based in Pitești with occasional domestic and foreign travel to visit clients and suppliers.
• At least five years of experience in a management role in operations or strategy at an industrial/ manufacturing company
• Experience in lean manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate would have led a lean transformation at an industrial Romanian company
• The ideal candidate will have an electric and/or mechanical engineering degree from a reputable university. Graduate degree (masters or PhD) in operations a plus.
Skills:

• Fluency in Romanian and English
• Ability to communicate with and motivate large groups of people
• Familiarity with Lean management concepts.
