JOB SCOPE
1) Performs technical evaluation (as a part of multidisciplinary team) in order to meet the business plan and objectives of Amromco Energy. 2) Applies standard oil and gas practices & techniques industry.
3) As a member of an integrated team contributes to identify, evaluate, document and recommend enhancement and exploration opportunities.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Evaluates deposits and prospective areas by collecting, reviewing and interpreting geologic data, and providing recommendations concerning potential of projects.
2) Performs field evaluation studies, by building a geologic model by integration of geological, production pressure and seismic data.
They will include a reserve evaluation (high, medium, low) using the SPE guidelines for reserve studies. They will also include the identification of work-over and drilling candidates and wellbore utility charts 3) Supports the geological requirements for the enhancement projects.
4) Coordinates the special geologic projects, including bid round evaluation.
5) Ensures geoscience staff works closely with reservoir engineers to provide geoscience interpretations and data for assessing opportunities.
6) Performs technical memos required by governmental agency and regular reporting as requested.
7) Performs data acquirement for data base update, including searching for lost or other additional data.
STUDIES/SENIORITY IN WORK/EXPERIENCE
Degree in Geology / Geophysics;
10 - 15 years of relevant experience.
TECHNICAL & BUSINESS EXPERTISE
- knowledge of using PC based software for geological maps design, geological and geophysical interpretation – Geographix is preferred - SMT, Petrel are acceptable: - knowledge and applied experience of reservoir stratigraphy;
- knowledge of economics evaluation.
