Job expirat
1) Measure characteristics of the Earth, such as gravity and magnetic fields, using equipment such as seismographs, gravimeters, torsion balances, and magnetometers;
2) Analyze and interpret geological information from sources (survey data, well logs, boreholes, and aerial photos);
3) Plan and conduct geological studies and surveys (drilling and testing programs in order to collect data for application);
4) Collect and upload the primary data (from drillings and other geological methods: geochemistry, geophysics) and limit the interest area;
5) Prepare geological maps, cross-sectional diagrams, charts, and reports concerning petrol extraction, land use, and resource management;
6) Read/ interpret characteristics maps such as: limit the interesting area, calculating the reservoir bulk volume, mineral identification, soil resistivity, continuous layers – fault determination;
7) Drilling operations and analyses: microscopy, thin section, laboratory investigation (concentration of organic materials, mineral identifications) geological column, porosity, granulometry, permeability, structure / texture;
8) Locate and estimate probable natural gas, oil, and mineral ore deposits and using aerial photographs, charts and survey results;
9) Assess ground and surface water movement in order to provide advice regarding issues such as waste management, route and site selection, and the restoration of contaminated sites;
10) Identify risks for natural disasters such as mud slides, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, and provide advice on ways in which potential damage can be mitigated;
11) Inspect construction projects in order to analyze engineering problems, applying geological knowledge and using test equipment and drilling machinery.
