FOREMAN / MAISTRU ELECTRICIAN
The position within the organization:
The Foreman works within the side organization with regard to all electrical erection work aspects on site.
Main Objectives
Ensures that contractor carries out his work according to the contract
Ensures quality of work carried out by the contractor
Ensures contractor remains within the schedule and contract cost regarding electrical erection
Checks contractor’s safety procedures regarding electrical erection and start up concentrates his actions
exclusively on site and site related activities
Duties:
Maintains relations with the contractor’s electrical erection teams so that inter-actions between owner’s
specialists and contractor’s erection teams function smoothly.
Stays informed regarding contractor’s erection activities and is responsible in assessment of electrical
erection progress on site.
Keeps himself informed on all safety aspects regarding electrical erection
Anticipates problems and actions of the contractor and tries to prevent conflicts
Ensures contractor works according to quality assurance, Program/procedures
Validates contractor’s erection procedures and methods
Keeps himself informed regarding any project design changes and their influence on the electrical erection.
Keeps the electrical engineer informed.
Skills:
Specialized in electrical /instrumentation engineering
Experienced in site work
Some knowledge regarding technical aspects of the cement industry
Skills in organizing and coordinating
Some knowledge regarding EXCEL, WORD, etc
Strong ability to work within a team
Good communication skills
Knowledge in English
Able to manage 30 or 40 people
10 years experience.

- Company and project / owner LR policies, procedures and programs
- Occupational health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Workers’ Compensation Board reporting time frames and responsibilities
- Posses a good working knowledge of Collective agreement(s) and company policies
- How to read drawings and interpret specifications
- Scope of both one’s own and other construction trades
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and planning
- Knowledge of administrative tools and systems
