Main Purpose:

We are looking for our client, a multinational company from plastic packaging business, for a Business Development Manager for the NW area.
The main purpose of the position is to analyze the market potential as well as potential customers. The holder of this position needs to have a good insight view into our preferred market segments as well as preferable a good network in our target industry (e.g. milk business) He/She has a high knowledge how to build up a market from scratch and how to analyze competitors, market chances and growth potentials in our market segments.
After the market research he/she is responsible is finished to develop first contacts in the industry and to build up first direct customer contacts. This also includes commercial tasks, so also questions relating to finance, operations, quality or technics in his/her field of responsibility. Non-commercial tasks have to be coordinated with the corresponding departments (business unit, finance, etc). He/she is one of the main contributors to the sales strategy in new market segments.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Market analysis, segmentation and prioritisation of the market linked to customers and competitors for identification of local market entry scenarios
• Developing a strategy how to approach possible market segments and customers and leading projects in terms of market entry
• Design of possible business models and definition of implementation settings
• Finding and taking care of possible industrial contacts to increase further the positive image of company as a supplier
• Calculation of different business cases as a fundamental for financial investments


CERINTE

Job Holder Profile:

• Completed technical or commercial education (university level or similar)
• Experience in sales (incl. market research) in FMCG, packaging or other related industry
• Experience in setting up new sales channels as well as implementing new projects on the market
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Fluent English is a must, german language is a plus;
• excellent appearance and professional business behaviour as well as presentation and problem solving skills
• High grade of flexibility and stress resistance
