Adecco Professional Placement hiring for its customer (Leading EMS provider in design, engineering and manufacturing services to automotive, computing, consumer digital, industrial, infrastructure, medical and mobile OEMs) from Timisoara a Senior SQL Database Administrator.
Objective of the role: The Database Administrator will be responsible for resolving a wide range of issues demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques in order to obtain solutions according to customer’s demands.
Also will analyze and resolve database, servers and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
Main responsibilities:
* Perform database administration activities as support, maintaining and monitoring database servers;
* Coordinate SQL support activities in the region involving resources from Local, Regional and Corporate IT Teams
* Execute and lead regional Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) database projects;
* Collaborate with regional and global team to define capacity analysis / planning on database infrastructure required for MES projects to guarantee a flexible growth and collaborate with department leaders to asses their projects capacity needs;
* Guarantee databases integrity and assure all databases environments are safe and secure, establishing the security and integrity controls;
* Provide the level support required by the role on time as 24x7 on call support – during working hours and extended hours – apply corrective actions and work on proactive strategies to minimize / remove error repeatability;
* Collaborate to formulate regional and global database strategies, policies and standards related to database management and implement them;
* Install and configure SQL Server stand alone and clustering, also SQL Server security;
* Configure linked servers by using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS);
* University Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Automation, Telecommunication or relevant domain;
* Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in handling large enterprise systems; MCDBA /MCP in SQL 2005/2008;
* MS SQL Server SQL2000/2005/2008/2012, MS Analysis Services (OLAP) and MS Reporting Services knowledge and experience;
* Experience with OLAP, technology knowledge as Crystal Rep and SAP BW will be a plus;
* Clustering environments, backup and disaster recovery models experience;
* Troubleshooting on performance issues and problem solving skills;
* DB optimization knowledge;
* English skills - advanced level;
