This position is responsible for all customs and foreign trade belongings at MMD. It is the central contact for MQ Headquarters, Authorities, Clients, Suppliers and Forwarders in order to any customs process.
It supervises, controls and optimizes imports/exports, free trade agreements and export controls.
Surveillance of supply chains in/out bound. It is the link between authorities and operating units.
Required Education and Experience:
Degree in business, logistics or customs administration or similar practical knowledge;
At least 3-5 years experience in customs and transport (import and export procedures);
Specialist in the domain of customs and transport;
Experience in leadership positions/management of a team (ca. 3 employees).
Personal skills:
Disciplinary and professional coordination of employees;
User-knowledge of MS Office;
User-knowledge of EDI-Customs;
Knowledge and experience national and international customs legislation;
Proficiency in English;
Experience in project management;
Confident attitude;
Analytical and logical thinking;
Counselling, support and supervision of the operational unit;
Competent contact person for customs and transport issues for MMD, suppliers, clients and authorities;
Network to internal and external positions;
Implementation of customs and transport procedures and their continuous supervision and optimisation;
Concept and implementation of simplified customs procedures for example customs warehousing or outward processing;
Definition, optimization and supervision of shipments, import and export procedures, and cooperation with other departments in the Supply Chain;
Knowledge of origin of goods and preference (pan-European cumulation, list criterias, preference calculations);
Classification of goods according to TARIC;
Knowledge of all common customs procedures (shipment procedures, free circulation, customs warehousing);
Budget and costs responsibility for customs and transport costs;
Practical knowledge of transport management.
