Private family company, with more than 30 years of experience in the field of Transportation by Sea, is looking for a new colleague for the Freight Forwarder team, for our office in Spain, Malaga.
Responsibilities:
• Take incoming requests from customers in a professional manner and introducing the data into a specific software application;
• Identify the best solutions for customers (private and companies), for safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of their goods;
• Book and arrange space for shipments for carriers such as boats, cars, caravans, motor homes, containers, bikes, LCL Cargo all over the world;
• Issue specific ship international transport documents, customers’ invoices and follow the steps through the entire process, until they reach their destination;
• Prepare and follow-up of files for each transport according company’s procedures;
• Offer transport solutions in order to increase and support the sales department;
• Work close with suppliers involved in shipping of goods and develop good relationships with custom and terminals representatives, liaise with different organizations /groups.
Ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in Transport & Logistics by Sea;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Romanian;
• Commercial customer focused attitude with good negotiation skills;
• Sales techniques knowledge;
• Good numerical skills, able to deal with quantities and volumes;
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word, Outlook;
• Proactive attitude and strong problem solving abilities;
• Adaptability, excellent team player;
• Attention to details, good organization skills and vigilance;
• Resourceful, able to far-see and handle unexpected events;
• Availability for night shifts.
