Hydraulic Supervisor

Main Tasks
 Before the start-up of the hydraulic systems, verify the equipment status and installation condition. Supervise and verify the cleaning and flushing procedures. Verify the installed components, with reference to the design and equipment features;
 Start-up and commission of the hydraulic equipment (pumps, valve stands, cylinders, machine movements, etc.). Tuning of the pressure and flow-rates;
 Functional tuning of hydraulic equipment and set-up of the design performance of the component (movement speed, functional sequences logic, etc.);
 Define, plan and supervise the inspection and works of the hydraulic equipment;
 Determine the nature and extent of failures and define / perform proper maintenance or reparations, implying from case to case:
 Inspect and repair hydraulic and lubrication systems of major and minor production and not production facilities;
 installation of hydraulic and lubrication systems or replacement of their parts;
 inspection and reparation of hydraulic and lubrication units and relevant piping;
 Keep records of inspection results and report to Shift Engineer for possible necessity of specialist intervention and/or stopping plants/machinery;
 Repair of the hydraulic and lubrication systems and pipelines:
 rigid and flexible pipe-work, couplings, flanges and 'O' rings/seals;
 the actuators (cylinders, pistons, seals, rings);
 hydraulic motors (cylinders, crankshaft, piston rod, output shaft);
 lubrication circuit valves and distributors.
