RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Take ownership of the development of new Monitoring Instruments.
* Provide technical direction for development of these instruments.
* Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, reporting progress to key stakeholders throughout the NPI process.
* Partner with Product Managers in the development of product specifications.
* Work with cross-functional teams throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
* Work with multi-disciplinary teams based in sites across the world.
* Work to improve product performance and reliability.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Engineering/Science, or equivalent education and experience.
* Proven experience working in an engineering design role within an industrial environment.
* Demonstrated experience throughout the product development process, including generation of specifications and handover to manufacturing.
* Proven project management experience in a product development environment.
* Proven experience in the design of products for use in an industrial environment.
* Demonstrated experience acting as technical resource for product developments.
* Excellent English, both written and oral communication skills.
* Knowledge of substation monitoring technologies, including sensing and communications protocols.
* Experience of the measurement and analysis of Partial Discharge signals.
* Experience in the development and test of new sensors and instruments.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements of the utilities industry.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers.
* Demonstrated proficiency with PC business applications e.g. Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
