Job expirat
- The artist needs to be fit to work on a cruise ship (a medical is required) and to be able to stand a 50 - 65 working hours /week.
- The job is 100 % commission based. The artist receives a 15% automatic gratuity with the possibility of extra gratuity if the guests wishes to offer. There will be a 15% commission on framing too.
- The contract length is a minimum of 4 months.
- The artist will have a staff status with (generally) a single cabin assigned to him.
- The company covers the initial assignment expenses (Flight , Hotel, daytime Uniform).
- The artist needs to cover his / her medical, visa, evening & formal uniform (suit & tux).
- The company will cover 50 % of all flights to and from the artist’s future assignments.
- The interview will consist in an English proficiency test (for the non native English speakers),
a practical test which consists in creating a caricature and a realistic portrait (timed)
and a one on one Q&A session.
- The artist needs to speak very good English
- The artists will need to perform both live Caricatures & realistic (lifelike) Portraits (C & P) in specific locations on the ship. The candidate needs to be able to create both C & P and not just one or the other.
- The artist needs to be able to give 1 hour drawing lessons, once or twice a cruise to the on-board guests.
- The artist needs to be able to work in various mediums including but not limited to ; Charcoal & Graphite, Pastels, Chalk & preferable to be able to create caricatures using Adobe Photoshop and a digital drawing board
