Adecco Permanent Placement is recruiting for it's client, a worldwide supplier of automation solutions, a Software manager based in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Software Manager will lead a software team of min. 10 PLC, vision and Robot programmers with mechatronic engineering background, all passionate by industrial automation. This team can grow in the coming years to 15 or 20 people.
You have good PLC (S7, AB, Opcon, Omron) and/or PC (C#) programming experience.
The Software Team has to give programming support in different languages like Siemens S7, Opcon, Omron, Allen Bradley and C# following the standards requested by the customer or the group standards of the company.
As SW manager and together with some experts in your team, you will define the architecture and the conceptual layout of all programming activities for the different projects in automotive and consumer electronic industries.
You work together with an Engineering team for meachanical and electrical design and a production team for mechanical and electrical assembly.
You will follow the programming standards of the group and you will give advice for improvements.
You will be responsible to follow up performance KPI’s of your SW team, make the interpretation and set up the actions behind for improvement.
You will share this with the general manager.
As a people manager you will coach and support your team and continuously look for training and improvement of your team.
You will install a specific human capital monitor KPI in order to work on performance improvement of your team on long term.
You are a manager with a mentality for operational excellence: quality, performance, and improvement are on top of your strategy plan.
Finally you are the farmer of your SW center and you know all about costs, planning of projects, performance of your team, free capacity and future projects to come and you will report these things on weekly basis to your general manager.
Technical Skills :
a. technical background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic principles
b. preferable electro-mechanical engineering background
c. able to read electrical schemes and mechanical drawings of machines
d. passionate by industrial automation and high technology
e. programming experience of PLC and/or PC
f. knowledge of lean manufacturing, operational excellence and standardization
Managerial and Personal skills :
a. people manager
b. strategic thinker and analytical mind
c. result oriented and strong planning and organizational skills
d. Spanish and English is a must; French, German,or Portuguese are advantages
