The TS&FE Center (Technical Support & Fulfillment Engineering Center) is the technical interface for telecom operators and their customers, it ensures that our customers' networks and services operate at optimal levels, while maintaining and improving standards and integrity of the network provided.
TS&FE Engineers use their expertise and knowledge of business processes, systems to ensure the delivery of the customer’s telecom services.
Core Engineer is responsible for the following tasks, but not limited to: plan and optimize of the fixed network, re-home/re-parent of remote RSS, integrate/configure the AXE/5ESS switch and remote satellites (numbering plan modification, Migration of ISUP routes, NSS inter-connections). It assists the field staff for the integration / configuration of the site, knowledge of technology PDH/ SDH / IP would be an advantage.
The engineer ensures ongoing best practices are applied as well as the latest client instructions. Teams capitalize on past experiences by sharing them internally.
- Plan and optimize the fixed network of our client.
- Configuration management of network elements.
- Management of operations planning.
- Management of assets ("Backlog") production.
- The rapid escalation and notification of incidents during operations.
- To ensure that telecom services are built into the contractual deadlines.
- To provide a rapid return to customers in relation to common questions.
- Preventive / corrective maintenance (regular tasks / incidents)
- Work 24/7 when required
- Creating, updating and following all the tickets
- Degree diploma related to telecommunications, electronics, computer science or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years experience in network operations, maintenance and / or technical support activities
- In-depth knowledge of several fixed network elements (Switch AXE and 5ESS, remote satellites RSS, IN platform) multi vendors (mainly Ericsson and 5ESS Lucent).
- Good knowledge in performance monitor and network planning optimisation
- Strong knowledge in configuration management tools
- Knowledge of signalling protocols (ISUP, INAP, etc.).
- Spirit rigorous in the transactions, particularly in following technical instructions and "reporting".
- Willingness to work in "Business Hours" & "Non Business Hours" exceptionally.
- Excellent written & oral communication English language is mandatory (Dutch would be an advantage)
- Self-learning person
- Control of quality of communication during a crisis situation (stay focused on the objective information & communicate in real time).
- Ability to work in teams, learn and support of people, know their own limits on technical skills.
- Critical thinking in order to suggest improvements for better conduct of the operation (time / quality).
- Understanding the general principles of networks and telecommunications principles.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new operation.
