- Maintenance and operation of the department’s internal information systems including LAN/or/and WAN networks;
- Plans, designs and implements information systems, including configuration, support and debug of network problems;
- Coordinates suppliers in order to install routers, bridges, switches, concentrator’s equipments;
- Participates in network projects implementation;
- Provides assistance in planning the IT projects, cost analysis and comparison of suppliers’ prices;
- Distributes and assigns tasks in order to comply with the dead-lines;
- Manages the available IT equipment;
- Database monitoring capabilities and exception alerting;
- Backup integrity and routinely testing capabilities;
- Data base capacity monitoring and notification;
- Pro-actively provide suggestions for the optimization of the Infrastructure.
- Degree/Diploma in Computers/Electronics and Communication/IT engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of IP technology, web servers, data bases;
- Experienced in Routing and Switching.
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN transport media (Ethernet, ATM, DSL, ISDN, TDM - E1/ T1 etc). Advanced IP knowledge.
- Experience with Solaris, Linux, XP/NT/2K, LAN/WAN, and network security.
- Must have experience with routers, switches, servers hardware from a variety of vendors. Should be able to troubleshoot operating system, application, computer hardware and networking issues.
- Should have good communication skills with the ability to deal with users at all levels in an organization
- Manage time and effort effectively.
- Be self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Have a strong sense of customer service
- Have ability to build and configure servers and applications maintain baseline images.
- Be able to identify, troubleshoot, and fix complex system, networking and equipment issues.
