The GDR Group (Global Delivery Readiness), part of Mobile Networks Delivery Excellence supports all aspects of LTE Deployment Readiness, from interfacing with Hardware and Software development groups, to providing training and technical support to Installation, Integration and Operations teams.
Develops integration tools, documentation and training, act as Base Station SME during rollout of 4G LTE Networks across North America.
Provides systems engineering support to local team of software developers for on-going automation of Macro & Small Cell deployment and maintenance procedures.
Supports Customer facing trials of new hardware and features during lab and field FOA's (First Office Applications).
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Delivery Readiness and Solutions Testing for deployments of Alcatel-Lucent UMTS LTE Macrocell & Small Cells equipment;
• Develop requirements and architecture for tools to automate deployment activities;
• Author & validate executable, repeatable and cost effective LTE deployment procedures;
• Develop and Support network element upgrades to live customer networks and perform testing to assure effective execution with no impact to live Customer network.
• Bachelor degree in telecommunications, electronics, informatics or equivalent;
• Services/deployment experience and troubleshooting skills;
• Able to perform technical analysis of new products & services in order to develop deployment procedures, innovative delivery tools, and knowledge transfer sessions;
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX based products in either lab or field environment;
• Familiar with Alcatel-Lucent Wireless network elements;
• BSEE, BSCSE or other engineering discipline (with applicable experience);
• MSEE, MSCSE or equivalent;
• Experience providing training and technical support to field technicians and engineers is beneficial;
• Technical Leadership in a Wireless deployment projects, familiarity with ALU Software release cycles and proven track record of FOA experience as the technical prime is ideal.
