Group Reporting Accountant (Shared Service Center– Budapest)

Role synopsis
The Accountant will deliver Finance Group reporting services to the business (es) assigned to the role. The Accountant may work on more complex Group Accounts, with some supervision and, in some cases, may be asked to take on a limited supervisory role for less experienced or trainee staff. Each Accountant role is exposed to the issues facing clients in the portfolio, and will be required to develop a thorough understanding of the client organization and business in order to be able to deliver a quality service. The entities assigned will be less complex than those assigned to a Lead Accountant.
Key accountabilities
- To work with the Business / Country teams supported to ensure mutual understanding of all accounting entries and follow up on queries
- Support Analysis, Forecasting, Budget, and Actual Data
- Prepare reports to respective European businesses
- Resolve queries and issues as they arise with reference to relevant resources such as the Group Reporting Manual, working with the Business / Country teams or other support from within the BSC
- Support intercompany processes / Group recharges processes where relevant
- Carrying out balance sheet reconciliation work for businesses / countries supported
- Carry out the month end close processes in a timely and accurate manner for businesses and processes with a relatively high degree of complexity. Resolution of issues and queries may require reference to Group Reporting Manuals and / or working closely with the Business / Country teams supported.
Essential Education
Academic degree in Business Administration
Essential experience and job requirements
- 2-4 years of general accounting or controlling/reporting experience
- Fluent English language knowledge
